YOUR INDIANOLA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WORKS DAILY
FOR YOU AND YOUR FUTURE!
Business Referral Service: Daily we refer ONLY Chamber businesses to inquiries for goods and services and promote local businesses. We can provide Internet links to YOUR business through our website. We provide contacts for new customers and clientele for local businesses.
Resource Center: Information is available through the Chamber to residents and visitors such as community demographics, local maps and visitor information, local clubs and organizations, major employer listings, phone directories, area publications, data and statistics. We answer hundreds of telephone, E-mail, and letter requests annually from outside of Indianola.
Information Center: We answer inquiries from within Indianola from members and residents about local activities and events and where to obtain various services. We also provide listings of Chamber membership, industry, civic clubs, local churches, & Realtors.
Calendar: The Chamber maintains a community calendar of events posted on its website and available in the office.
Promotional Coordinator: We promote Indianola to areas outside our community by promoting a positive image through our projects and publicity. Visit our website at: www.indianolams.org. We sponsor numerous special promotions and events such as the B.B. King Homecoming, Holiday Open House, Back to School Teacher Appreciation events, Mississippi Scholars, “ Keep Indianola Beautiful” program, Sunflower County Agricultural Appreciation Banquet and the Christmas Parade. We also sponsor business seminars, welcome reception for Teach for America and Mississippi Teacher Corps, other retail promotions and we always promote “Shop Indianola First”!
Charitable Efforts: The Chamber provides assistance for those whose homes have burned. For over 50 years we have sponsored the annual Community Fund Drive which raises approximately $35,000 for charitable organizations and gives two scholarships to deserving Gentry High and Indianola Academy seniors.
Public Relations Coordinator: We serve as a PR agency for the business community at various functions such as ribbon cuttings and grand openings. We provide an avenue of input on legislative issues on the local, state, and federal levels. We work actively with all available resources in improving city appearance, and work with the Mississippi Economic Council, Delta Council, Delta Chamber Consortium, Sunflower County Economic Development, Mississippi Development Authority, Mississippi Delta Tourism Association, Main Street Mississippi and the U.S Chamber of Commerce.
Networking: The Chamber provides a “Weekly Memo” for all its chamber members to give members a chance to spread any news to all our chamber members. Members can become involved in Chamber committees such as the Community Fund, B.B. King Homecoming, Merchants, Beautification, Agriculture, Education, or Economic Development.
Your Chamber dues are the sole support of your Chamber projects!
